In an age where e-commerce is growing fast and retailers are facing low foot traffic in their stores, it is amazing that a gift-with-purchase promotional deal posted on a mall’s Facebook page would be fully redeemed within 24 hours!

Another feather in this mall’s cap is their Active Day – a day of fitness activities and healthy cooking demonstrations. It was posted one day and within 48 hours, all sessions (yes, ALL sessions) have been filled with registrants!

Where is this amazing mall?

It’s located on the north eastern tip of Singapore island, at the last stop on the North East Line – Punggol – after which you’ll need to hop onto the LRT to get to it. This mall is Oasis Terraces, a new generation of “neighbourhood centres” comprising a polyclinic, a retail mall, community space and more.

CPG FM provides integrated facilities management (IFM) for Oasis Terraces including tenancy matters, facilities maintenance for indoor and outdoor spaces as well as advertising and promotions for the mall to increase foot traffic in and out of the mall. As part of our IFM services for Oasis Terraces, CPG FM team also planned, promoted and managed a wide range of events and activities that would attract residents to this neighbourhood mall in a new housing estate located along a languid river, the Punggol Waterway. Our FM team wanted to make this mall THE hub for residents to meet, play, dine, exercise or just to hang out!

The FM team launched the Oasis Terraces Facebook Page which is a first for HDB’s new generation of neighbourhood centres on 5 June 2018. By the end of October 2018, there were more than 7,000 followers on that page with happy residents giving the mall 4.4 stars ratings.

Through the Oasis Terraces Facebook Page, CPG FM team could communicate with residents by posting information about the mall’s new tenants, great shopping or dining deals, fun-filled family activities, and they could also quickly respond to resident’s comments or feedback via that page.

Since the outreach under our IFM services began, our FM team has successfully completely these major events:

• Launched a massive outdoor LED Display (5760mm x 3456mm) at Level 1 Community Plaza to showcase new tenants at the Oasis Terraces
• “Kids Day Out @ Oasis Terraces” during the June 2018 holidays in which 900 families participated with enthusiasm
• FIFA World Cup live screening of matches at the Community Plaza, including the Finals where more than 350 residents turned up to watch the match together
• About 3,500 residents came to the full-day National Day Carnival to mark Singapore’s 53rd birthday with games, food, photo-booths, performances and fringe activities along with mass pledge recitals and singing of the national anthem

One of the residents (Ms Angela Lee) said on the Oasis Terraces Facebook Page, “I love it that Oasis Terraces brings together communities from all walks of life! We see children hanging out and being most comfortable in the huge spaces of the centre, the elderly spending precious time with the younger generation, families and friends just chilling out at the cafes or even doing sports and activities together. This is made possible through the family-oriented activities organised by Oasis Terraces. The shops are also just a stone’s throw away from where I live, which is super convenient for when I need to grab last minute groceries or utilities. Can never ask for anything nearer to home than this.”
